WORLD.WARTAGLOBAL.id - PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (Pelni) has prepared three passenger ships to facilitate travelers during the annual Lebaran mudik (homecoming) season. The Lebaran mudik season in 1444 Hijriyah is expected to begin in early May and last until mid-June 2023.
The three passenger ships prepared by Pelni are KM Kelud, KM Lawu, and KM Merbabu. Each of the ships has a capacity of 1,200 passengers and will operate from the Tanjung Priok port in Jakarta to several ports in Java Island, Bali, and Sumatra.
In facing the Lebaran mudik season this year, Pelni will provide better services for travelers. Passengers will be provided with adequate facilities such as sleeping rooms, dining rooms, toilets, and even places of worship that can be used during the journey.
In addition, Pelni will optimize its services for travelers by ensuring the availability of food and beverages during the journey, as well as maintaining the safety and comfort of passengers.
According to the President Director of Pelni, Ir. Bambang Rusdianto, this year Pelni is striving to provide better services compared to previous years' Lebaran mudik seasons. This is done as a form of Pelni's support for the government's efforts in encouraging the public to use sea transportation as a safer and more comfortable alternative for mudik.
The Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, welcomed Pelni's preparations for the upcoming Lebaran mudik season. He hopes that Pelni can provide the best service for travelers and ensure their safety during the journey.
With the well-prepared preparations from Pelni, it is expected that travelers can have a safe and comfortable journey and avoid various risks that may occur during the Lebaran mudik season. (World*/)
