Russian Influencer Wanted by International Police: Luxury Villa Promise in Bali, Victims Pile Up

Russian influencer Sergei Domogatsky alias Mr. Terimakasih is being hunted by international police after allegedly committing investment fraud in Bali. The Bali Police have recorded 50 reports of fraud with total losses reaching Rp 130 billion.

Domogatsky's modus operandi is cunning: he promises luxury villa development in Bali through viral content showcasing his glamorous lifestyle. Victims are asked to pay a down payment of USD 85,000 (Rp 1.3 billion per person) and are asked to pay 50% more.

The project stalls, and Domogatsky offers "Mini Santorini" as a replacement, but the promise of completion within 6-9 months falls through. Victims send official summons via WA and letter on March 1, 2025, but are blocked.

The Bali Police have summoned Domogatsky twice, but he fails to appear and is believed to have fled abroad. Bali Police spokesperson Kombes Pol Ariasandy, S.I.K., confirms the case is proceeding procedurally and awaits good faith.

Police are tracking the flow of funds and accomplices, although the DPO status abroad complicates the process. No red notice has been issued, but internal coordination is being accelerated.

This case is a warning: Bali is becoming a magnet for fictitious investments through influencers. Property promises are just digital renders with zero land legality. Police are opening doors for new reports - maybe there are more silent victims.
