“Indonesia is no longer a red carpet for law-breaking foreigners.” That statement came from Director General of Immigration Hendarsam Marantoko as he outlined a new direction for immigration enforcement: no compromise.
On land, at sea, in the air. Surveillance is active. Cooperation is mobilized. The goal is one thing: sovereignty. Not only guarding the nation’s entry gates, but also protecting national security and the people’s economic sovereignty.
For too long the gates have been loose. Too many foreigners entered, broke the rules, disrupted order, took the people’s rights, and harmed national interests. They felt comfortable. Safe. As if Indonesia was a second home with no conditions.
The Era of Rogue Foreigners Ends
Hendarsam Marantoko is drawing a firm and measured line. For foreigners already in Indonesia, and for those planning to enter. The rules are clear. Violate them, face action. Cause damage, get deported. Harm the people, get expelled.
“Going forward, Indonesia must no longer be a safe and comfortable place for foreigners who break the rules,” he stressed. There is no more tolerance for foreigners who drain the economy, seize jobs illegally, or cause trouble.
The state must be present. Firm. Measured. And on the side of the people. Not on the side of fake investors or tourists working under the radar.
Stark Warning: Get Ready for Crackdowns
Immigration is sending a harsh message: we will take massive action against rogue foreigners. Get ready. Supervision is being tightened. Intelligence is deployed. Joint operations are underway. Those who do not comply should pack up.
Economic sovereignty is enforced through immigration. Making sure foreign nationals do not freely control assets, smuggle labor, or turn Indonesia into a field for illegal practices.
The people have been sidelined in their own country long enough. Foreigners have been treated like kings while the people watch for long enough.
Immigration For The People
The new slogan is not decoration. “Immigration For The People” means every policy, every raid, every deportation has one clear measure: does it benefit the people or not. If not, close the door.
The era of soft immigration is over. Now is the time for hard lines. Those who want to enter are welcome, as long as they obey. Those who want to cause trouble should not expect to sleep peacefully.
Rogue foreigners, take note: Indonesia is no longer a paradise for violations.
