The Class I Special TPI Ngurah Rai Immigration Office held a Media Gathering with representatives of the press within the Ngurah Rai Immigration working area on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. Located at the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office Hall, the event served as a strategic step to strengthen synergy and public information transparency.
This media gathering was the first held since the post-pandemic period. In addition to serving as a forum for networking, the event functioned as a two-way communication platform between Immigration officials and the mass media to support transparency in the implementation of immigration duties.
Head of the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office, Bugie Kurniawan, emphasized his office’s commitment to optimizing immigration functions. These include immigration clearance at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, supervision of foreign nationals to maintain order and security in Bali, and providing excellent services for both Indonesian citizens and foreign nationals.
“We recognize that support from media colleagues is crucial in delivering accurate information to the public. Through this collaboration, we hope the implementation of immigration duties can run more optimally, smoothly, and efficiently. Thank you for the attention and cooperation that has been established. May this synergy provide significant benefits for the Bali Immigration ranks and especially for Ngurah Rai Immigration,” Bugie said.
Head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration for Bali, Felucia Sengky Ratna, who attended as a guest, expressed appreciation for the event. She affirmed the role of the media as a strategic partner in building transparency and improving the performance of Immigration offices in Bali.
“This activity is a forum for networking and a communication space to build openness between the Bali Immigration ranks and our media colleagues. We hope this collaboration continues to be strengthened as part of our commitment to continuously improve performance and provide the best services for the public. A harmonious relationship is the main key in overseeing immigration policies in Bali,” Sengky stated.
The event concluded with an informal gathering and interactive discussion. During the session, media representatives were invited to provide constructive suggestions and input. The feedback will serve as evaluation material for the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office in developing more effective communication patterns and strengthening a healthy information ecosystem in Bali.
The media is viewed as a wise form of public social control and a public educator in delivering accurate and balanced immigration information.
