The Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration (DGI) Bali has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening immigration enforcement through the continuous implementation of the Dharma Dewata Immigration Patrol, a proactive operation aimed at monitoring the presence and activities of foreign nationals across the Island of the Gods.

Conducted daily and on an ongoing basis, the patrol targets key areas with high concentrations of foreign visitors to prevent, detect, and take firm action against immigration violations while maintaining public security and order.

The Dharma Dewata Patrol Task Force was officially inaugurated by the Director General of Immigration, Hendarsam Marantoko, on April 15, 2026. Since its establishment, the task force has remained actively engaged in safeguarding Bali through regular field operations.

Head of the Bali Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration, Felucia Sengky Ratna, emphasized that the latest roll call serves as a renewed commitment to strengthening immigration law enforcement throughout the province.

"Carry out immigration supervision in a humane, firm, and measured manner," Felucia instructed officers, while also reminding them to uphold professionalism and avoid any abuse of authority during field operations.
Strong Collaboration with Timpora and Law Enforcement

The Dharma Dewata Patrol operates in close coordination with the Foreigner Supervision Team (Timpora), regional government agencies, and other law enforcement authorities.
According to Felucia, this collaboration has significantly contributed to uncovering immigration-related violations within a relatively short period.

"I highly appreciate the information sharing and strong cooperation from all Timpora members across Bali, which has enabled us to resolve several cases efficiently," she said.
She also encouraged the public to actively report suspected immigration violations involving foreign nationals.
Digital Monitoring and Accommodation Compliance

To improve efficiency, immigration officers are now equipped with an integrated digital verification system that enables fast and accurate validation of immigration documents.
In addition, officers continue educating hotel operators, villa owners, guesthouses, homestays, and private accommodation providers about their legal obligation to report foreign guests through the Foreigners Reporting Application (APOA).

Under Article 72 of Indonesia's Immigration Law No. 6 of 2011, accommodation providers are required to submit data on foreign guests staying at their premises. Failure to comply may result in criminal sanctions or financial penalties under Indonesian law.

Immigration authorities stressed that accurate reporting is essential to ensuring effective supervision without disrupting Bali's tourism industry.

Safeguarding Quality Tourism
Bali Immigration emphasized that the intensified patrols are not intended to restrict international tourists, but rather to ensure that all foreign nationals respect Indonesian laws, local customs, and Balinese cultural values during their stay.
Through the Dharma Dewata Patrol, the Directorate General of Immigration aims to preserve Bali as a safe, orderly, and world-class tourist destination, while reinforcing Indonesia's sovereignty and the rule of law.
