JAKARTA –WorldWartaGlobal.Id
International travelers planning vacations, business trips, study programs, or family visits in 2026 should prepare for higher travel expenses. Several countries have officially increased their visa application fees, with some introducing only modest adjustments while others have implemented substantial hikes.

The most dramatic increase comes from Japan, where visa fees have surged by as much as five times. The Single Entry Visa has risen from approximately Rp330,000 to Rp1,650,000, while the Multiple Entry Visa has jumped from Rp660,000 to Rp3,330,000, making Japan the country with the steepest visa fee increase among the latest updates.

The United States has also introduced a significant change by adding a US$250 Visa Integrity Fee for most non-immigrant visas. As a result, the total cost of applying for a B1/B2 visitor visa has increased from around US$185 to approximately US$435.

Meanwhile, Belgium has raised the fee for its Long-Stay (D) Visa from €180 to €250, representing an increase of nearly 39 percent.
In the United Kingdom, the cost of a 6-month Standard Visitor Visa has increased from £127 to £135, while the 10-year Visitor Visa now costs £1,128, up from £1,059.

South Korea implemented only a modest adjustment, with the Single Entry Visa (less than 90 days) increasing from Rp904,000 to Rp920,000.
Egypt has also revised its visa charges. The Visa on Arrival and Single Entry e-Visa now cost US$30, up from US$25, while the Multiple Entry e-Visa has increased from US$60 to US$65.
These fee increases highlight the growing cost of international travel. Tourists, business travelers, students, and families are encouraged to review the latest visa requirements and official application fees before making travel plans to avoid unexpected expenses.

Applicants should also remember that the published fees cover only the official visa application charges. Additional costs for biometric services, visa application centers, agency assistance, and exchange rate fluctuations may further increase the total amount payable.
