KLUNGKUNG, BALI – WordWartaGlobal.id
The Class II Non-TPI Immigration Office of Klungkung continues to improve public access to immigration services through an initiative called Pasporia – Sunday Passport Services.

The program brings passport application services directly to public spaces, offering residents a more convenient alternative to obtaining travel documents without having to visit immigration offices on regular working days.

The Pasporia service was held at Ida Dewa Agung Jambe Square in Klungkung Regency, Bali, from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. local time. By providing services in a public area on Sunday, immigration officers aim to make passport applications more accessible, convenient, and people-oriented.

According to information provided by an immigration service officer at the location, approximately 25 applicants had registered for the service. They came with different travel purposes and personal needs.

Among the applicants were individuals preparing to pursue educational studies in the United States, prospective Indonesian migrant workers planning to work in Malaysia, workers requiring travel documents for employment aboard ships, and families intending to travel overseas together.

These varied purposes demonstrate the importance of international travel documents in supporting education, employment opportunities, and international mobility.

Public-Space Services Make Passport Applications More Accessible
Through Pasporia, residents can apply for new passports or passport replacements in accordance with applicable regulations.

Providing services at Ida Dewa Agung Jambe Square offers an alternative for residents who have limited time to visit immigration offices during regular working hours. Beyond improving accessibility, the initiative also creates opportunities for immigration officers to engage directly with the public.

However, the service remains subject to administrative procedures and immigration regulations. Not all types of passport applications are covered by the Pasporia program.

According to the information displayed in the event's promotional materials, the service does not accommodate applications for lost or damaged passports, nor does it provide same-day expedited passport issuance.

Required Documents for Passport Applications

To avoid administrative difficulties, applicants are advised to prepare all required documents before submitting their applications.

For applicants aged 17 and above, the required documents include an electronic Indonesian Identity Card (e-KTP), Family Card (KK), and supporting documents such as a birth certificate, marriage certificate or diploma containing the applicant's name, place of birth, and date of birth.

For applicants under the age of 17, the requirements include a Family Card, the child's birth certificate, identity cards of both parents, the parents' marriage certificate or marriage registration document, and the parents' passports, if available.

Preparing complete documentation is essential to ensure that the application process runs smoothly and complies with applicable administrative requirements.

Public Service Innovation Requires Consistency and Transparency

The introduction of Pasporia reflects the importance of adapting public services to meet the changing needs of society.

Quality public service should not be measured solely by processing speed, but also by accessibility, procedural certainty, transparency, and the professionalism of service personnel.

With approximately 25 applicants registered during the event, the initiative indicates public demand for alternative immigration services outside regular office hours.

Moving forward, consistency in implementation, clear service schedules, transparent registration procedures, and professional service standards will remain important factors in ensuring the program's effectiveness.

Residents are encouraged to verify the latest schedules, registration procedures, and document requirements through the official communication channels of the Class II Non-TPI Immigration Office of Klungkung.

Through Pasporia, immigration services are expected to become increasingly accessible to the public. The initiative is not merely about bringing service counters into public spaces, but also about developing a more accessible, transparent, orderly, and responsive public service system that genuinely addresses community needs.
