Police Raid Home of Senior Officer's Son Following Assault Case: Lessons Learned for Society.

Wednesday, April 26, 2023

WORLD.WARTAGLOBAL.id - On Wednesday (4/26/2023), the General Criminal Investigation Directorate of the North Sumatra Regional Police along with the Head of the Propam Division of the North Sumatra Regional Police conducted a search at the residence of AKBP Achiruddin Hasibuan in Medan, North Sumatra. This action was a follow-up to a case of assault committed by his son, Aditya Hasibuan alias AH, against Ken Admiral.

According to a source quoted from local media, the assault case occurred on Sunday (4/23/2023) at a nightclub in Medan. Ken Admiral was injured as a result of being beaten by AH and several of his friends. Consequently, Ken Admiral had to be hospitalized.

After receiving a report from the victim, the police immediately conducted an investigation and successfully identified the perpetrator. AH, who is the son of AKBP Achiruddin Hasibuan, was immediately arrested by officers on Monday (4/24/2023) at his residence.

However, in the search conducted on Wednesday (4/26/2023), the police were looking for evidence related to the case and also ensured that there were no illegal items in AKBP Achiruddin Hasibuan's residence.

This case has certainly attracted public attention, considering that the perpetrator is the son of a police officer. This indicates that anyone can commit a criminal act without exception, and the law must be enforced fairly without discrimination.

It is hoped that this case can be a lesson for the public that criminal acts will never escape the law and that every violation will be firmly addressed by the police.

The police also emphasized that this case will be legally processed without discrimination, even though the perpetrator is the son of a police officer. The violent acts committed by AH and his friends cannot be justified, and they must be held responsible for their actions.

This case also reminds us of the importance of good parenting and a clear understanding of the consequences of criminal acts. As a parent, AKBP Achiruddin Hasibuan must ensure that his son understands the importance of respecting human rights and avoiding violent actions.

Regarding this matter, the Head of the Propam Division of the North Sumatra Regional Police also emphasized the importance of internal supervision and close monitoring of police officers and their families. This step is taken to prevent police officers and their families from being involved in criminal acts or other legal violations that may harm the public and the police institution itself.

This case also serves as a reminder to the public about the importance of reporting criminal acts to the authorities. In this case, the report made by the victim was key in the arrest and prosecution of the perpetrator. Reporting criminal acts not only provides justice to the victim but also helps maintain public safety and order.

In a broader context, this case underscores the importance of police reform to improve accountability and transparency in carrying out their duties. This reform must be carried out to ensure that the police function as public servants and maintain security and justice for all citizens without discrimination. (World*/)
