BALI-The National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) of the Republic of Indonesia and the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) of the People's Republic of China signed a cooperation agreement to develop cyber security and technology capacity which took place at The Stones Hotel, Bali on Sunday (26/5/2024) .
The signing was carried out by Deputy Head of BSSN Putu Jayan Danu Putra and Deputy Minister of CAC Wang Jingtao witnessed by Head of BSSN Hinsa Siburian, Consul General of China in Denpasar Zhang Zhisheng and other members of the delegation.
Before the signing was carried out, it was preceded by a cyber security discussion between the two delegations which discussed the latest cyber security issues and shared information on cyber security handling practices in the two countries.
On that occasion, Hinsa expressed his appreciation for the signing of the MoU
between Indonesia and China.
"We welcome this meeting in the context of signing an extension of the MoU between BSSN and CAC, as well as exchanging views between the two countries regarding cyber security issues," said Hinsa when opening the discussion.
Hinsa also added to the meeting, while expressing his gratitude for the implementation of the cooperation that had been carried out to strengthen cyber security for both countries.
"With increasingly sophisticated technological challenges and increasing cyber threats, we need to strengthen collaboration between the two countries, both in bilateral, regional and multilateral contexts in order to create a safe, open and responsible cyber space," added Hinsa.
