Aceh – The Regional Leadership Council (DPW) of the Indonesian Migrant Workers Union (SBMI) Aceh has organized a Safe Migration Awareness program as part of its efforts to increase public understanding of the importance of choosing legal and safe migration pathways.
This initiative aims to educate the public, particularly prospective migrant workers, about their rights, the proper migration procedures, and the risks that can be mitigated by adhering to official regulations. Participants also receive information regarding legal protections available for migrant workers and their families.
According to DPW SBMI Aceh, this awareness campaign is expected to help the people of Aceh become better prepared and protected when working abroad. The program is supported by various stakeholders committed to promoting safe, dignified, and sustainable migration.
"We appreciate the participation of all parties in supporting this initiative. Hopefully, this effort marks the beginning of better and safer migration practices for Indonesian migrant workers," said a representative of SBMI Aceh.
