The National Narcotics Agency of Aceh Province (BNNP Aceh) conducted the destruction of narcotics evidence, consisting of 1,052.07 grams of methamphetamine, which was destroyed using a blender.
The National Narcotics Agency of Aceh Province, in collaboration with the Aceh Provincial Prosecutor's Office, the Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (Balai POM), and the Aceh Health Office, carried out this destruction of narcotics evidence as part of their efforts to combat drugs in Aceh.
The event was held in the courtyard of the BNNP Aceh Eradication Building.
The Head of BNN Aceh Province, Brigadier General Marzuki Ali Basyah, accompanied by Head of Eradication and Intelligence, Commissioner Hairajadi, stated in his speech that this drug destruction must be carried out promptly, as the evidence could evaporate due to chemical reactions, and they would observe whether there were any changes in color and form during the destruction process.
"This destruction activity is not dependent on the quantity of drugs confiscated, but rather on how many of our young people we can save from these illegal substances," he emphasized.
He also stressed the importance of the community’s role in providing information and supporting BNN and other law enforcement agencies in their drug eradication efforts.
In addition to the seized evidence, BNNP Aceh also successfully apprehended three suspects in this drug case, identified by their initials MAH, A, and AZ.
This destruction is known to be the result of a case solved by BNNP Aceh personnel in October 2024, involving two packages of narcotics totaling 1,052.07 grams (methamphetamine) in Lhokseumawe City.
Through the destruction of drug evidence, BNN is committed to continuing its fight against drug trafficking to create a drug-free Aceh.
