The Bali Police have arrested four suspects in an assault and extortion case against a 42-year-old Russian national. The incident occurred on July 9, 2025, in the Sakura 1 Housing Complex in Jimbaran, Badung.
The perpetrators consisted of two Russian nationals and two Indonesian citizens. They carried out the extortion by kidnapping and assaulting the victim, threatening to take the victim to the Immigration Office and deport him.
The perpetrators are being held at the Bali Police detention center for legal proceedings. Police also searched their residence in Denpasar. This case is still under investigation.
