The Bali FKPPI Legal Aid Institute (LBH FKPPI) is expanding its efforts to provide legal assistance to Foreign Nationals (WNAs) allegedly defrauded by the Maxxs Group agency. Following a prior report filed with the Bali Regional Police, LBH FKPPI has now formally approached the headquarters of the Directorate General of Immigration in Jakarta to request coordination and special attention.
The visit, which took place on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the Directorate General of Immigration building on Jl. H.R. Rasuna Said Kav. X-6, Kuningan, South Jakarta, aimed to convey their concerns and ensure legal protection for the foreign victims, particularly those facing immigration status complications due to the suspect's alleged modus operandi.
"We are here to seek assistance and attention from the leadership of the Directorate General of Immigration regarding the plight of the foreign national victims. We hope that the victims who have courageously come forward can promptly receive solutions and legal certainty in accordance with prevailing regulations," stated an LBH FKPPI representative on site.
LBH FKPPI reaffirmed its commitment to accompanying the victims until the resolution of their cases. "LBH FKPPI is committed to continuously assisting the victims until their rights are fully restored," the representative added.
*Strategic Coordination for Victim Protection*
This proactive step of contacting the Directorate General of Immigration is considered a strategic move. The coordination seeks not only to request monitoring of the reported party's movements but also to ensure that the foreign victims do not face administrative immigration obstacles that could complicate the ongoing legal process. Immigration is expected to provide special consideration and assistance to victims whose residency status may be affected by this case.
Handled by an Experienced Legal Team
The legal assistance process for the victims will be intensively handled by seven legal attorneys from LBH FKPPI Bali, who have a proven track record in managing complex cases. The legal attorney team consists of:
1. I Gede Sugianyar, S.H.
2. Fitri Anisa, S.H., CTT., C.Med.
3. Ida Ayu Dwi Maryati, S.H.
4. Jesicha Juliandari, S.H.
5. I Nyoman Adhi Dharma Widyadnyana, S.H.
6. Ibrahim Basarewan, S.H., C.L.A.

By coordinating with key institutions like the Directorate General of Immigration, LBH FKPPI demonstrates a comprehensive approach.
