The alleged property investment fraud case involving Sergey Domogatsky, also known as Mr. Terimakasih, is escalating. After 10 foreign nationals officially filed reports, the number of victims has now increased by five, bringing the total to 15 people from various countries. The total losses are estimated to reach tens of billions of rupiah.
The Head of Public Relations of the Bali Regional Police, Senior Commissioner Ariasandy, S.I.K., confirmed the additional victim reports. "As of today, we have received 15 police reports regarding the alleged investment fraud by Sergei Domogatsky," he said.
These reports are currently being handled by the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimsus) and the Cyber ??Directorate of the Bali Regional Police. He assured that every complaint will be processed according to legal provisions.
Some of the victims who reported the scam include Victoria Neyzhmakova Vladimorovna from Russia, who claimed losses of up to IDR 8.46 billion; Dudaev Chamsuddin from France, who lost USD 105,000; and Varapayeva Khrgstsina from Belarus, who was promised a townhouse project that never materialized, resulting in losses of IDR 3.44 billion.
The scam's modus operandi is similar: victims are lured by promotions for luxury villa developments in Nusa Penida, Kintamani, and Pecatu through Instagram accounts owned by Domogatsky and several companies he claims to own.
