Perum BULOG has set a new milestone in managing the Government Food Reserve (CPP). For the first time in history, BULOG’s rice stock has surpassed 5 million tons, marking a key pillar for national food security.
The achievement was announced by Lieutenant General (Ret.) Dr. Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani, http://S.Sos, SH, http://M.Han, while accompanying Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman during an inspection at the BULOG Karawang Branch Filial Warehouse on Thursday, April 23, 2026.
“Alhamdulillah, as of this morning, Thursday, April 23, 2026, the rice stock in BULOG warehouses has reached 5,000,198 tons. This 5-million-ton milestone reflects BULOG’s commitment to maintaining stable rice supply and prices,” Ahmad Rizal said.
He stressed that the 5-million-ton stock is more than just a number. “It’s concrete proof of the state’s presence in ensuring food availability. This is a strong foundation to face future challenges and guarantee that the public continues to have adequate and affordable access to food,” he added.
Minister’s Appreciation
Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman, who saw the fully stocked Karawang warehouse firsthand, expressed his appreciation.
“Thank you to the President Director of BULOG and all staff for working hard so that the government’s rice reserve could reach 5 million tons this morning,” Andi Amran said.
Result of Collective Work
The record was achieved through optimized absorption of domestic farmers’ grain and rice, stronger cross-sector coordination, and improved infrastructure. BULOG is now supported by more than 1,500 company-owned warehouses plus over 1,200 partner-rented warehouses across Indonesia, ensuring stocks are safely stored and ready for even distribution.
With strong reserves, BULOG serves as a price stabilizer, emergency buffer, and key supporter of government food assistance programs.
BULOG Bali Stock at 14.2 Thousand Tons
In line with the national achievement, the stock controlled by Perum BULOG Bali Regional Office currently stands at 14,200 tons.
“Alhamdulillah, this remarkable achievement is the result of hard work by all Perum BULOG Bali Regional Office staff and related stakeholders. We are committed to always maintaining food stocks in Bali Province,” said Muhamad Anwar, Regional Head of Perum BULOG Bali.
BULOG is optimistic that with a 5-million-ton foundation, steps toward sustainable food self-sufficiency and national food sovereignty can be realized.
