Bali Immigration is biting hard. The “Dharma Dewata Immigration Patrol” swept up 62 problematic foreign nationals in just 20 days.
Violations ranged from overstaying, submitting false visa data, working illegally without permits, running fake investments, to disturbing public order.
Head of Bali Immigration Office, Felucia Sengky Ratna, said the raid targeted hotspots in Denpasar, Ngurah Rai, and Singaraja. *“We are protecting Bali’s tourism from rogue foreigners who damage the local economy,”* she stated. All detained foreigners are now under intensive investigation.
Heavy Sanctions Await
Felucia confirmed violators face severe penalties. These include detention at Immigration Detention Centers, deportation to their home countries, and lifetime blacklisting from Indonesia. There is no compromise for deliberate lawbreakers.
Director General of Immigration Hendarsam Marantoko doubled down on the stance. “Zero tolerance. Quality tourists and investors are welcome. But those who disrespect Indonesian law have two choices: comply or leave,”he said. He stressed that Bali, as Indonesia’s showcase, must not be tainted by rogue foreigners.
Digital Monitoring and Massive Patrols
Director of Immigration Supervision and Enforcement, Yuldi Yusman, said early detection is key. Immigration is now tightening oversight through cross-agency digital data and nationwide massive patrols. “We give no room for violators,”Yuldi said.
Felucia also urged Bali residents to stay vigilant. *“If you see suspicious foreigner activity, report it through official channels. This is about protecting our shared comfort and stability,”* she said.
This raid proves Immigration’s commitment to safeguarding Bali’s social and economic stability amid surging foreign tourist arrivals. Laws are enforced not to intimidate, but to ensure Bali remains safe for everyone who follows the rules.
