The atmosphere at The Umalas Signature management office on Jalan Bumbak, Kerobokan, suddenly turned tense on Friday (3/7) afternoon. A group of individuals claiming to be representatives of Budiman Tiang (BT) forcibly entered the PT Samahita Umalas Prasada (PT SUP) office area on the second floor.

PT SUP Director, Charles B Siringo Ringo, immediately reported the incident to the Bali Police SPKT (Integrated Police Service Center) on Saturday (4/7) night. They are suspected of violating Article 257 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) regarding unlawful entry into premises.

Chronology and Mob Arrogance

At the time of the incident, Charles was on the 4th floor. He went down after his staff reported that a mob was forcing their way in. At the location, the group—which brought along an organization from outside Bali called Keluarga Besar Elang 3 Hambalang—claimed they were ordered by BT to vacate the building.

Charles asked them to leave, but they ignored him. The mob only dispersed after Bhabinkamtibmas (village police officers) arrived and negotiated. The police (Kuta Utara Sector Police and Badung Resort Police) acted swiftly to de-escalate the situation.

Dispute Background and BT's Verdict

This action marks the latest chapter in the dispute over the 207-unit apartment project, worth hundreds of billions of rupiah. Ironically, Budiman Tiang is currently entangled in a criminal case. In April 2026, the Denpasar High Court sentenced BT to 3 years and 6 months in prison for fraud and embezzlement in the same project.

Previously, BT's civil lawsuit against PT SUP had also been rejected by the Denpasar District Court in January 2026. More than 100 international investors have also suffered losses regarding lease rights valid until 2065.

Police are currently investigating this report. Monitor case developments on the official Bareskrim Polri (Criminal Investigation Agency) website.
