Denpasar WORLD.WARTAGLOBAL.id - A case of the deportation of a Russian citizen in Bali has sparked controversy and discontent among the Indonesian National Police Headquarters. Artum, the passport holder with number 765179XXX, claims to have experienced injustice during the deportation process, which he suspects involved agencies under the leadership of Yasonna H. Laoly, the Minister of Law and Human Rights.
Artum, visibly frustrated and upset, even accused Yasonna H. Laoly of being involved in protecting major drug traffickers. After being deported and banned from reentering Bali, Artum refuses to return to the island, despite his valid Limited Stay Permit Card (KITAS) and passport.
In an interview with Indonesian journalist Netti in Denpasar on July 11, 2023, Artum firmly denied committing the alleged violations. He revealed several irregularities in the case, including changes in the Interrogation Report (Berita Acara Pemeriksaan) during the investigation process, difficulties in changing his domicile from Klungkung to Denpasar, and alleged collusion among the relevant authorities, such as the Regional Police, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, and the Provincial Government of Bali.
