The leaders and faction heads of the Banda Aceh City Council (DPRK) paid a friendly visit to the Chief of Banda Aceh Police on Friday, October 18, 2024.
The visit was conducted to strengthen the relationship between the two institutions following the recent inauguration of the new DPRK members and leaders for the 2024-2029 period.
The DPRK delegation was warmly welcomed by Banda Aceh Police Chief, Commissioner Fahmi Irwan Ramli, in his office, accompanied by Operations Head Commissioner Yusuf Hariadi, Criminal Investigation Head Commissioner Fadillah Aditiya Pratama, and Deputy Intelligence Head Iptu Finda Apriana.

They particularly discussed issues such as youth delinquency, loud motorcycle exhausts, online gambling, online prostitution, and traffic congestion in Banda Aceh.
In his opening remarks, DPRK Chair Irwansyah, ST, introduced the DPRK leadership and faction heads attending the brief meeting.
Irwansyah stated that the purpose of their visit to the Police Chief was to strengthen ties so that Banda Aceh could be developed together. He also sought input from the Police Chief on how future development in Banda Aceh could be improved and more orderly.
"This, of course, requires support from all parties, especially the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), which includes the Banda Aceh Police Chief," Irwansyah said in his remarks.
The politician from the Prosperous Justice Party also mentioned that in addition to maintaining ties with the Police Chief, the DPRK leaders also plan to build relationships with the District Attorney, the Mayor, and other institutions to strengthen collaboration for the development of Banda Aceh.
“This visit is aimed at fostering stronger relationships and synergy between stakeholders in developing the region,” he added.
Irwansyah also expressed his appreciation to the Banda Aceh Police Chief for the trust and recognition he has gained from the public, based on a survey conducted by USK, for his service and protection of the community.
Meanwhile, Police Chief Commissioner Fahmi Irwan Ramli expressed his gratitude for the visit, noting that it was an honor for him. He emphasized that the meeting provided an opportunity to discuss various matters for the betterment of the city.

Additionally, the Police Chief urged all police personnel, especially in Banda Aceh, to uphold the public's trust, stating that this trust is the result of the hard work of all officers in providing service, security, and law enforcement.
"We are currently working on programs initiated by the city government. Essentially, the hopes of the community towards the government will, God willing, be fulfilled to the best of our ability," he said.
He further expressed his hope that, with the new council and mayor, there would be no division. "We must remember that we live in Banda Aceh, the showcase of Aceh Province."
