Commissioner General (Komjen) of Police Putu Jayan Danu Putra was officially inaugurated as Inspector General (Irjen) of the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) in the Inspectorate General (Itjen) of the Ministry of Trade, in Jakarta, Thursday, (17/10).
This inauguration marks a new step in the career of Commissioner General Putu Jayan who previously had a long career in the Indonesian National Police (Polri).
Commissioner General Putu Jayan, who is known to have extensive experience in law enforcement and security management, is expected to strengthen the supervisory function at the Ministry of Trade, especially in maintaining integrity and transparency in every trade process in Indonesia.
In his remarks, Commissioner General Pol Putu Jayan Danu Putra stated his commitment to supporting the reform agenda at the Ministry of Trade.
"We will continue to ensure that every trade policy that is implemented is in accordance with the principles of justice and sustainability, and maintain the credibility of this institution in the eyes of the public," he said.
This inauguration was also welcomed positively by various parties, considering the track record of Commissioner General Putu Jayan who has been known as a professional figure with high integrity.
The inauguration of the former Bali Police Chief and Deputy Head of the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) was attended by a number of high-ranking state officials and important figures from various sectors.
As Inspector General of the Ministry of Trade, the main tasks awaiting Putu Jayan include overseeing performance accountability and ensuring compliance with regulations in all trade sectors.
With his long experience in the police field, Commissioner General Putu Jayan is expected to be able to bring about significant changes in supervision and improving the quality of services at the Ministry of Trade.
