Denpasar — A shocking theft occurred involving a tourist from Slovenia, KAMIN NATALIJA (35), while she was enjoying her leisure time at Warung Muslim Bondowoso on Jalan Mertasari II, Desa Sidakarya, Denpasar Selatan, on Saturday (May 3, 2025) afternoon. The victim's shoulder bag, which contained various valuable items, including Rp600,000 in cash, went missing as she was not paying attention while ordering food.
The Head of Denpasar Selatan Police, AKP Agus Adi Pariyoga, S.I.K., M.H., revealed that the suspect is believed to be a man who was seen loitering around the warung before the theft occurred. The victim placed her bag on the chair next to her, and when she was about to pay, she found that the bag was no longer in its place. Personnel from the Denpasar Selatan Resmob immediately launched an investigation after receiving the report and successfully located the bag in the area of Jalan Taman Pancing Timur, although the cash inside had already been taken.
The police are currently continuing their investigation to identify this cunning thief. AKP Agus reminded the public and tourists to always be vigilant with their belongings. “We are constantly striving to maintain security and order in Bali. We hope that tourists and the public will remain cautious with their personal items in public places,” he added. This case is still under the handling of the Denpasar Selatan Police.
