Based on crossing data, NE was known to have been in Indonesia since May 1, 2025. NE entered through Lombok using a visitor visa, which was later converted into an Investor Limited Stay Permit Card (KITAS) with an address in East Jakarta. "This fugitive is very slippery and constantly changing locations. Thanks to close coordination between our team and the Indonesian National Police, we managed to track NE's whereabouts, as he continued to move from Lombok until we finally arrested him in Jakarta," said Acting Director General of Immigration Yuldi Yusman in an official statement on Sunday (September 7, 2025).

Following the arrest, the Directorate General of Immigration Wasdakim immediately coordinated with the Indonesian National Police's International Relations Division and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco to Indonesia. The deportation process was then carried out on August 21, 2025, with NE being returned to Morocco via Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. "This successful arrest and deportation demonstrates the Directorate General of Immigration's strong commitment to eradicating transnational crime. We will continue to improve coordination and collaboration with law enforcement officials, both domestically and internationally, to safeguard national sovereignty and create a sense of security for the public," Yuldi concluded.
