Sergeii Domogatsky, also known as Mr. Terimakasih, a Russian influencer who promised property investments in Bali, is now facing an intensive investigation by the Bali Police. In this case, 30 official reports were filed by 29 foreign investors, resulting in total losses reaching IDR 80 billion. Many villa projects in Tabanan, Klungkung, and Bangli run by Sergeii's companies were found to lack official permits and were rife with violations. The Bali Police, along with relevant agencies, have sealed several of these fraudulent projects. In Tabanan, land remains vacant without permits. In Klungkung, villa and townhouse projects are proceeding without mandatory permits, such as environmental and building permits.
Meanwhile in Bangli, construction that has reached 25 percent actually violates the technical plan and permits.

The Director of Cyber ??Investigation of the Bali Police, AKBP Ranefli Dian Candra, stated that this case involves the complexity of investment transactions that also use cryptocurrency as a means of payment. Therefore, investigators are coordinating with Indodax and PPATK to investigate the potential for money laundering.
Alleged violations of the law include Article 28 paragraph (1) of the ITE Law concerning misleading information, Article 372/378 of the Criminal Code concerning embezzlement and fraud, as well as indications of money laundering. "Crypto transactions are a challenge in the investigation. We continue to investigate the flow of funds and electronic evidence," said AKBP Ranefli.

The Bali Police plan to summon Mr. Terima for questioning and do not rule out the possibility of detaining him for legal certainty. This case is a serious concern because it has the potential to damage the investment climate and tourism in Bali. The Bali Police continue to synergize with the local government to ensure that property licensing supervision is fulfilled.

Foreign citizen victims were also facilitated in this legal process. The investigation proceeded quickly to uphold justice and maintain investor confidence in Bali as a safe investment destination.
