BALI – Warta Global Word.Id
The Directorate-General of Immigration's strong stance on alleged immigration violations in the organization of the Bali Silent Disco Run event is a signal that the government no longer makes room for foreign nationals (WNA) who are suspected to be carrying out activities outside the terms of their residence permit.
Director-General of Immigration, Hendarsam Marantoko, made a strong statement calling the practice of hosting the event "a form of state within the country", as it was deemed to create an exclusive space that is not in line with Indonesian law and sovereignty.
"The running event is a form of state within the country. I've already ordered the Bali Immigration line to check out its event organizers. If there is a WNA who is the organizer, immediately follow the terms", Hendarsam stressed.
Based on the results of Immigration search, two Dutch WNAs with initials JAS (35) and HQV (37) were allegedly involved in organizing activities through Entourage Bali. The JAS is known to hold a Limited Residence Permit (ITAS) at work, while the HQV is an Investor ITAS holder.
The two were reported to have left Indonesia on July 23, 2026 via I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport with a KLM flight to Singapore. However, Directorate General of Immigration stated that the two WNAs had been placed on a denial list so they could not re-enter Indonesian territory under applicable conditions.
The Immigration measure does not stop at sequestration. The Ngurah Rai Immigration Office also summoned the guarantor, PT SIG, to inquire about the activities of the two WNAs while in Indonesia and their compatibility with the residence permits held. In the event of a violation, legal action will be taken in accordance with immigration regulations.
Hendarsam asserts that the WNA is not allowed to be an organizer of d-
