Amidst the spotlight on various issues involving foreign nationals (WNA) in Bali, Head of Regional Office of Directorate General for Immigration in Bali Felucia Sengky Ratna managed to win a prestigious award at the Innovation and Contribution Awards for Bali Nusa Tenggara 2026.
The award was presented during the awards evening which took place at Grand Ballroom The Trans Resort Bali, Badung, Friday (3/7), and in person with CT Corp Chairman Chairul Tanjung.
Felucia received an award in the category of Progress Accelerator Figure Award with a nomination for Collaborative Supervision Pioneer for Quality Bali Tourism. The award recognises his leadership in strengthening immigration oversight in Bali which over the last few years has faced increasingly complex challenges as foreigners" mobility increases.
Under his leadership, the Regional Office of the Directorate-General for Immigration Bali was deemed to be able to build a surveillance system that is more responsive to various alleged violations of immigration law. The approach taken not only prioritizes law enforcement, but also strengthens the synergy with various agencies in maintaining security and order at those international tourist destinations.
One of the innovations that came to mind was the formation of the Dewata Dharma Task Force, a special task force which routinely patrols and monitors areas with high levels of WNA activity.
The presence of this task force is part of a collaborative surveillance strategy to ensure that the existence of foreigners in Bali remains within the legal framework.
The move is considered important given that Bali is one of the main gateways for foreign tourists as well as a region that often faces the problem of abuse of residence permits and
