A message circulating among journalists asked, “Who will be covering the DPR RI on August 27–28, 2026?” The message was followed by an appeal for fellow journalists to prepare an alternative communication channel by downloading the FiChat application and testing its Bluetooth-based communication capability.

The stated reason was to anticipate the possibility of weakened or disrupted cellular signals during the coverage period.

The concern regarding possible signal interference must, however, be treated carefully.
