Harmaini Hasibuan, the attorney for the Head of the Pura Dalem Balangan Temple, believes that the suspect determination and detention of the former Head of the Bali National Land Agency (BPN) Regional Office, I Made Daging, complied with legal procedures. This conclusion was conveyed during a pretrial hearing at the Denpasar District Court on Monday (10/12/2026).

Daging was named a suspect in alleged document forgery on September 3, 2026, and has been detained since September 16, 2026. Through the second pretrial, her team is challenging the validity of the suspect determination.

Harmaini stated that the Bali Regional Police's Legal Investigation Unit rejected the applicant's arguments. She emphasized that the pretrial examines the validity of legal procedures, not the proof of the alleged crime.

Verdict Scheduled for October 13

In the previous hearing, the applicant presented four experts. Harmaini claimed that some of the expert testimony aligned with the defendant's arguments.

The panel of judges scheduled the verdict to be read on Tuesday (October 13, 2026). As of the verdict's reading, no final ruling has been issued on the validity of I Made Daging's suspect status and detention.
