Nevertheless, several countries provide incentives and subsidies to encourage the purchase of electric cars, which speeds up the return on investment.
When purchasing an electric car, owners must also consider the charging infrastructure. Although there are increasing numbers of public charging stations available, there are still fewer than conventional fuel stations. Therefore, electric car owners also need to consider the cost of installing a charging station at their home.
In order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and meet the targets of the Paris Agreement, many countries are committed to reducing the use of fossil fuel-powered vehicles.
