The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating alleged corruption in the Jakarta-Bandung (Whoosh) high-speed rail project at PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC). The investigation focuses on land acquisition, including alleged price inflation and the sale of state-owned land to the state at inflated prices.
The Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution at the KPK, Asep Guntur Rahayu, stated that individuals are suspected of "selling" state-owned land back to the state. The KPK will calculate state losses and prosecute any parties found to be involved.
