Applying for a passport, KITAS, KITAP, or even a Golden Visa is now more convenient than ever. The Class I Special Immigration Office of Ngurah Rai officially launched the soft opening of its Immigration Lounge at Discovery Mall Bali on Wednesday (July 8, 2026), marking a significant milestone in modernizing Indonesia's public immigration services.
The Immigration Lounge is the first immigration service facility in Bali located inside a shopping mall, bringing government services closer to where people live, work, and travel. Strategically situated in the heart of Kuta, the facility offers both residents and international visitors easier, faster, and more comfortable access to immigration services.
Available services include the issuance of Indonesian passports, Visit Stay Permits, Limited Stay Permits (KITAS), Permanent Stay Permits (KITAP), and the increasingly popular Golden Visa program. The lounge operates every weekday, Monday through Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (WITA).
More than just a service center, the Immigration Lounge introduces a new concept of public service by combining administrative convenience with a pleasant lifestyle experience. Located within Discovery Mall Bali, visitors can complete their immigration matters while enjoying shopping, dining, and entertainment.
The mall's direct access to Kuta Beach also allows visitors to relax by the ocean and witness the iconic Kecak Dance performance at sunset, making immigration services part of a memorable day out.
The new facility is expected to significantly benefit residents of Kuta and North Kuta, who previously had to travel to the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office in Jimbaran for certain immigration services.
Head of the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office, Bugie Kurniawan, emphasized that the Immigration Lounge reflects the institution's commitment to improving accessibility and service quality.
"We hope this Immigration Lounge becomes a new face of immigration services that is closer to the community. It is designed not only to improve accessibility but also to provide faster, more comfortable, and higher-quality services. We will continue to innovate to meet the evolving needs of the public," Bugie said.
During the launch, the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office also expressed its appreciation to Discovery Mall Bali for its strong partnership and support in making the project a reality. The collaboration is expected to serve as a model of successful cooperation between the public and private sectors in delivering accessible and people-oriented public services.
